Principal

Ryan Gilmer

Ryan Gilmer, a multigenerational railroader, brings extensive expertise using technology to enhance workflow processes, improve safety, and ensure regulatory compliance.  He has founded and lead multiple companies, including Locomotive Service, Inc., and techniques.org, Inc. where he has worked with national and regional railroads, the U.S Department of Defense, Dow Chemicals, GE Plastics and The Walt Disney Company.  Mr. Gilmer holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minor in Economics from Regis University. He is also a member of the Project Management Institute, has held Top Secret clearance with the U.S. Department of Defense, and holds state certifications in responding to hazardous materials incidents.

Principal

Michael Kester

Michael Kester is a specialist in leadership development, manufacturing company turnarounds, go-to market strategy implementations and financial due diligence for private equity investments. As co-president and managing director of The Regis Company, he served as the program executive for commercial engagements related to global strategic change, operations transformations, mergers and acquisitions, and major growth efforts. Mr. Kester has been involved in strategic initiatives at dynamic companies such as Abbott Laboratories, BNSF Railway, Citi Group, DaVita, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, UPS, Walgreens, Wendy’s, and the U.S. Air Force. He is a former consultant with McKinsey & Company and worked as a financial analyst for Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking group.

 

Mr. Kester holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and was a recipient of the prestigious Harry S. Truman Scholarship.

Operating Officer

Mike DeRosia

Mike DeRosia has worked for companies serving America’s railroads for more than 20 years. He has held leadership positions in both operations and finance. Prior to working with the railroads, Mike was an accountant for a regional CPA firm based in Denver, Colo. Mike holds an MBA, is a Certified Management Accountant, and is certified in strategy and competitive analysis.

Controller

John B. Hufford

John Hufford is responsible for a variety of administrative functions including accounting, cash management, compliance, budgeting, financing, fleet management and human resources.  He specializes in outside reporting, financial analysis and problem solving through convergent thinking. 

Mr. Hufford’s previous experience includes service as an independent consultant to businesses and individuals for 10 years and as a commercial and construction loan officer at Denver area banks.  He has a master’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Regis University in Denver, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Banking and Finance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
